The people of Onidoko and its neighbouring communities have endured prolonged hardship due to deplorable road conditions and restricted mobility. For years, farmers, traders, and families have struggled daily as access routes remained nearly impassable. The situation at Gbelede Bridge in Ward 10 linking Oyo and Ogun States has been particularly distressing. The collapse of this critical infrastructure severed access for more than 128 villages to key markets within the region, deepening economic challenges and constraining opportunities for our people. I vividly recall visiting the bridge during and after my electioneering campaign. I listened to the concerns of our communities and witnessed firsthand the burden borne by our farmers, women, and youths. At that time, I made a firm commitment that they would not be forgotten. By the grace of Almighty God, that commitment is translating into meaningful progress. I have successfully facilitated the reconstruction process of the Gbelede Bridge. The Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME) has been completed, clearing the way for the commencement of work. This project represents far more than the rebuilding of a bridge. It restores a vital lifeline reconnecting communities to markets, stimulating economic recovery, and renewing hope for over a hundred communities whose livelihoods depend on reliable access. We remain steadfast in our commitment to purposeful, people-centred representation. With a heart full of gratitude, I thank you all for making our Ido Local Government Assembly on Saturday, 6th September 2025, a remarkable success. It was not merely a meeting it was a homecoming of destiny and a declaration of hope for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency and the entire Oyo State. I want to extend special appreciation to our brothers and sisters in Ibarapa East Local Government, where this journey of grassroots assemblies began immediately after the ROCOF State Assembly inauguration in Ibadan. The massive turnout there ignited a flame that continues to burn, and what we witnessed in Ido proves that ROCOF is unstoppable. Together, we are spreading the gospel of hope, good governance, and inclusive leadership to every community, ward, and home across Oyo State. I also express my heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished guests and leaders, my dear APC State Executive Council who honoured us, and our revered religious leaders whose prayers and presence strengthen this vision. In today's Nigeria, leadership is no longer about just being present—it's about being purposefully heard. I had the honour of participating in the recently concluded Progressive Digital Media Summit at the State House Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, an epoch-making event that brought together digital media professionals, policymakers, and thought leaders from across the country. Over two days, we engaged in strategic dialogue on the role of digital media in shaping governance, democracy, and national development. As both a legislator and a strong believer in the power of media, I shared my views on how digital tools can transform civic engagement, amplify accountability, and inspire a more conscious and informed youth population. I strongly advocated for truthful, responsible, and value-driven media engagement, not just from content creators, but also from those of us in public office. Our people deserve facts over fiction, substance over noise, and clarity over confusion. Progressive leadership today must be transparent, accessible, and responsive, online and offline. I commend the organisers of this timely and necessary summit.
